Rehabilitate your postural muscles with Fulcrum Exercises

The Fulcrum Exercises Program includes various stretching and postural muscle exercises. An individual performs these while lying on the fulcrums that hold their spine in or nearly in its optimum (at rest) position. There are three distinctive phases of care, Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced. These exercises are performed on Fulcrums (specially designed firm foam that does not go flat).

The Starting Point - Beginning Fulcrum Exercises

These exercises target specific muscle groups and are broken into:
1) 3 Lumbo-Dorsal (LD - the lower back fulcrum) exercises
2) 3 Cervical-Dorsal (CD - the neck fulcrum) exercises

They are performed after the warm ups (Wobble Chair, Cervical Traction, etc.). The complete program is outlined in the Fulcrum Exercise Booklet.

Beginning Fulcrum Exercises

Lay on the fulcrums and take a few deep breaths before starting the exercises, as per the Fulcrum Exercise Booklet. Using the designated LD and CD fulcrums, begin with five repetitions building up to ten repetitions. The natural progression when ready, is to move to the Intermediate and then Advanced fulcrum exercises.

The Next Step - Intermediate Fulcrum Exercises

These exercises also target specific muscle groups and are broken into:
1) 3 Lumbo-Dorsal (LD - the lower back fulcrum) with a 1" Lifter exercises
2) 2 Cervical-Dorsal (CD - the neck fulcrum) exercises

They are performed after the warm ups (Wobble Chair, Cervical Traction, and one each of the Beginning LD and CD exercises, etc.). The complete program is outlined in the Fulcrum Exercise Booklet.

Intermediate Fulcrum Exercises

Lay on the fulcrums and take a few deep breaths before starting the exercises, as per the Fulcrum Exercise Booklet. Using the 1" Lifter placed under the LD fulcrum and CD fulcrum without a Lifter, begin with five repetitions building up to ten repetitions. The natural progression when ready, is to move to the Advanced fulcrum exercises.

Now Maintain Them - Advanced Fulcrum Exercises

These exercises also target specific muscle groups and are broken into:
1) 3 Lumbo-Dorsal (LD - the low back fulcrum) with a 2" Lifter exercises
2) 3 Cervical-Dorsal (CD - the neck fulcrum) with a 1" Lifter exercises

They are performed after the warm ups (Wobble Chair, Cervical Traction, and one each of the Beginning and Intermediate LD and CD exercises, etc.). The complete program is outlined in the Fulcrum Exercise Booklet.

Advanced Fulcrum Exercises

Lay on the fulcrums and take a few deep breaths before starting the exercises, as per the Fulcrum Exercise Booklet. Using the 2" Lifter placed under the LD fulcrum and the 1" Lifter under the CD fulcrum, begin with five repetitions building up to ten repetitions. Once the corrective care phase of treatment is completed, these become part of your daily maintenance.
